OPERATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY MANAGEMENT
It is of utmost importance to us to maintain and continuously improve our high level of occupational health and safety at all INTOCAST AG sites. A certified system for Occupational Health and Safety Management is utilized by INTOCAST AG to meet these objectives.
ENVIRONMENT & ENERGY
The protection of the environment and the responsible use of resources are an integral part of our business activities. In this way, we want to make an active contribution to environmental protection by consciously using energy. We will continue to strive to improve our energy efficiency. To this end, we actively involve all employees and encourage energy-conscious actions.
As part of regular energy audits based on DIN EN ISO 50001, we are constantly putting our entire organization to the test by means of detailed recording, analysis and evaluation of the operational energy consumption structures. Thus, the energy audits support us in identifying potential for improvement and taking sustainable, effective measures. We see the energy audits as a useful tool to support the achievement of our sustainability goals. At the same time, we comply with the statutory energy audit obligation and thus ensure that we comply with the legal energy-relevant obligations at all times.
REACH
On June 1, 2007, the European Regulation for Chemicals (EC 1907/2006) came into effect, better known as REACH. The aim of the regulation is to establish a central legislative framework for chemicals towards improved protection of human health and the environment against chemical hazards. It requires all companies along the supply chain to assess risks posed by chemical substances and investigate their impact on health and environment.
As a manufacturer of refractory products and casting auxiliaries, our company is a downstream user in accordance to REACH, so the registration obligation is primarily with our EU-based suppliers.
